Problem Statement
The fashion industry depends greatly on cotton or viscose to produce soft and breathable clothing, but the production process of both materials isn’t eco-friendly. Cotton requires huge amounts of water, complex chemicals and pesticides, and turning wood into viscose also requires complex chemicals.
Proposed Solution
The Spinnova technology can produce fiber from wood pulp, agricultural waste, and other sources of fiber using a mechanical process, using 99% less water than cotton and without using any harmful chemicals.
